11U - MOSQUITO

Ages (as of Jan. 1): 9 – 10 years
Practices: Twice a week (schedule TBA before the season starts) at Centennial Park – Diamond 2
Games: Saturdays (schedule & location TBA before the season starts) at Centennial Park – Diamond 2 and will include travel to play in Chilliwack at Sardis Sports Fields
Description:
- Base paths are set at 60 feet and pitchers throw from 46 feet.
- Games are a minimum of five (5) and not more than six (6) innings in length.
- 11U (Mosquito) division is a fun transition to learning the skills to play real baseball including pitching, back catcher, hitting a pitched ball, stealing bases and backing up other positions.
- A regular baseball is used at this level.
- Fully player pitched, a 1st year pitcher (or pitchers) must pitch the first 2 innings per game. BC Minor Baseball pitch count rules in effect to protect the young pitcher’s arms from injury.
- No lead offs allowed, players cannot steal until the ball crosses the plate on a pitch.

- Glove
- Rubber cleats
- Protective jock/jill
- Grey baseball pants
*Helmets and bats are supplied by the team but player may bring their own. Helmets must have chin strap or C flap and bat is allowed up to 32 inch, 2 3/4 inch max diameter, unlimited length/weight drop - Must have "USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp OR "USA" Stamp).
